India will give free SIM cards

India

Tourists coming on holiday to India this month will receive a free SIM card.

The authorities have promised to provide free SIM cards for mobile phones to all foreign nationals arriving in India via a tourist visa. It is expected that they will be issued on arrival at the airport.

Moreover, the mobile account will be the funds that will allow travelers after receiving the mobile number to use maps, gazetteers, and, if necessary, quickly contact the Embassy of their country. It is expected that this will make your stay safer, more comfortable and more profitable, because tourists will not have to pay roaming services.

This innovation will save tourists from many bureaucratic problems, because now to get a domestic mobile number, the foreigner must provide documents (ID card, photocopy of passport and visa photos, proof of residence and so on), and the time of issuing numbers to its activation lasts for two days.

Responsible operator for foreigners appointed by a state company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
