Winter festivals in otepää, Estonia


The small picturesque town of otepää in Estonia, which has more than 10 years also known as the winter capital of the country in January and February 2015 invites everyone to the snow festivals and sporting events.

Until the end of 2015 ski season, tourists are available a variety of outdoor activities, a lot of exciting winter activities and interesting excursions.

January 17, 2015 in otepää will be opening the next stage of world Cup ski racing, which is held by the International ski Federation. The competitions will be attended by many skiers, known worldwide as the best masters of this sport.

January 18 the third Sunday of the month, the town will celebrate the world snow day, which in 2015 is celebrated in 38 countries. Many winter activities and sports in this day awaits residents and guests of the Otepaa.

22 February in otepää will be held also in the European bath marathon, during which participants compete in a number of baths, bathing in the hole and participating in many winter activities and attractions. Anyone wishing to test his endurance during the Marathon must pre-register as participants. The minimum residence time in the steam room each in terms of the competition — 3 minutes. In the evening on 22.02.14 at the local theme pub will host a big party for the spectators and participants the Bath marathon.

Also, during the entire winter season in otepää will be held the night Safari, sleigh rides, winter hikes on the snow-covered hills and excursions to local attractions for adults and children. In addition, fans of winter sports can enjoy skiing, snowboarding and sledding.
