Winter festivals of Italy in 2015
the Italian ski and health resorts in the winter months attract many tourists from all countries.
We have compiled for you a list of the most interesting events, festivals and fairs Italy that will be held in January and February 2015. If you are planning during this period, the trip to Italy, using our calendar you can easily find interesting events that will take place close to the venue of your vacation.
January 6:
- In Venice will host the annual regatta of the witches. Dressed as wicked witches members and participants of the regatta will compete in speed on the canals of the city. In the evening after racing across Venice will be held folk festivals with music, dancing and contests.
- In Milan, the annual procession of the three wise men will depart in procession from the Duomo and it will be a solemn procession in honor of epifanii the Church of St. Eustorgius. The religious event will be accompanied by orchestral music in live performance.
January 8:
- between 8 and 16 January 2015 in Dobbiaco will host the balloon festival — Balloonweek.
14 January:
- Small but very picturesque old Italian town of Nusco, which is located in the province of Avellino, from 14 to 17 January 2015 will become a place of pilgrimage for tourists from different corners of the world: there will be the traditional Bonfire Nights. In Italy, the festival La Notte dei Fal is held for about 4 centuries, and every year this fire festival is invariably accompanied by colorful folk festivals, a variety of delicious food, good wines from the local vineyards and, of course, great perky music.
- From 14 to 16 January in San Candido and from 19 to 21 January in San vigilio di marebbe will take place the international Festival of Snow Sculptures. These days everyone will be able to visit in these cities exhibition snow works created by 30 talented artists from around the world.
17 January:
- on the third Saturday of January, the day of St. Antonio, a town of Italy will welcome spring according to old traditions. Blazing fires, hot chocolate and mulled wine, music, dance and theatrical performances will be held in Albairate, Besate and Morimondo.
18 Jan
- the Italian village of Buti, near Pisa, will be hosting the races on horseback. Costume parade, horse races, and competitions for the title of best rider among the 7 ancient contrade will delight all fans of riding, gambling and competitions and, of course, the traditional celebrations.
January 22:
- In Milan from 22 to 24 January 2015 Festival of olive oil. Olio Officina Food Festival in Italy will take place for the second time. Within three days everyone will be able to attend tastings, master classes and topical lectures, which will be conducted by the best chefs, writers, and scientists.
- Madonna di Campiglio from 22 to 25 January will become a real Paradise for fans of vintage cars. Winter marathon of vintage cars in Italy will be able to visit everyone.
January 22:

January 24:
- Two days — on 24 and 25 January — in the Val di Fassa Marcialonga will be held — the annual race for cross-country skiing. The available distances — 45 and 70 km in Order to take part in a ski marathon, you must first apply for participation. In parallel, there will also be competitions in ski sports for children.
27 Jan
- on the last Tuesday of January in Trevi during the feast of St. emiliano will be another religious event. Statue of St. emiliano will be solemnly carried in festive procession on all city streets.
Jan 30:
- From January 30 to February 8, 2015 in Agrigento will be held the traditional Festival of Almond. All restaurants and cafes these days will serve a variety of dishes from almond nuts, prepared according to old recipes. Other events will include the international competition of folklore ensembles.
- 30 and 31 January in Aosta will host the annual Fair of local Handicrafts. More than 1,000 tents, trays and stalls with different crafts, Souvenirs and household items made from wood, clay, wool and cotton, and a variety of Goodies and mulled wine, prepared according to traditional recipes of Italian cuisine, sure to appeal to all visitors to this colourful winter fair.
January 31:
- In Venice from 31 January to 17 February 2015 will be held the famous carnival of Venice, which each year gathers hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world.
February 1
- on the first day of February, Italy held another, not less popular and famous than the Carnival in Venice, the event — the biggest Carnival in Viareggio. Throughout February, every Sunday the streets will host colorful parades, and held a variety of festive events.
- Town of Casale di albino, province of Bergamo, invites everyone to attend the Sagra dei Biligocc — the annual Festival of chestnuts. Tasting all sorts of Italian dishes of chestnuts, workshops and festivities will not leave anyone indifferent of the guests a delicious feast.
February 3:

- Food & Wine Festival in Milan will take place from 7 to 9 February 2015. During these three days guests will be able to enjoy a variety of Italian dishes prepared by the best chefs and confectioners, as well as prodemonstriruet excellent Italian wines.
February 14:
- Sardinia from 14 to 21 February 2015 will be hosting a number of festivals, carnivals, parades and fire shows.
15 Feb:
- Orange battle in Ivrea — present fruit battle between nine teams. Bright, entertaining and very tasty!
February 16:
- Mountain town of Pozza di Fassa offers its guests a colorful acrobatic show: athletes will show the audience the incredible acrobatic ski show, and at the end of the program will be a torchlight descent on the piste.
February 27:

February 28:
- From February 28 to March 1, 2015 the town of Norcia, located in the Umbria region, will be materialized Paradise for the most discerning palate.
