New cruise terminal in the UAE — the world's largest

The world's largest cruise terminal was inaugurated last Thursday, 11 December 2014, in Dubai.

Cruise terminal Hamdan bin Mohammed, owned by DP World, one of the world's largest port operator, was named in honor of the crown Prince of Dubai, Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum. New Dubai terminal has already received its first cruise liner companies Costa Cruise and Aida Cruise, on Board of which arrived about the first 4000 passengers. In opening ceremony took part the crown himself, the Sheikh of Dubai.

Hamdan bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal, a total area of 28,000 square meters, is the latest addition to the Dubai cruise terminal in Mina Rashid. Capacity  will be 14,000 people per day.

After the commissioning of the terminal Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Dubai Marina will be able to simultaneously receive up to 7 cruise ships with the number of passengers up to 25,000 people.
