A new landmark in the Czech Republic
The Czech town of Litomysl in 2014 has expanded its list of attractions one tourist attraction-the reconstructed Church.
Now Nalezení svatého Kříže, Church of the Finding of the Holy cross, was open for free visit the free Museum and exhibition hall.
This Church in the Czech Republic, built in the early 18th century, during the last forty years was used by local authorities as storage facilities, which adversely affected the preservation of the historical object.
In recent years repeatedly raised the issue of the reconstruction of the temple and return to it former status, but the Roman Catholic Church had shown no interest in reconstruction, which would require significant financial investment.
At the initiative of the city mayor of Litomyšl, as the city is included in the List of world cultural heritage of UNESCO, the means necessary for restoration and reconstruction of this historical monument that has been allocated from the EU funds.
The result of running a former Church has been completely restored and rebuilt, which allowed not only to return the Church to the clergy, but also to make its interior looks like a Museum, suitable for use as an exhibition hall, as the venue of chamber music concerts.
