The museums of Greece stepping up security



The

Greece reported the strengthening of security measures at museums and other tourist sites visited by tourists. It will also raise entrance fees to all major sights of the country.

Now tourists in Greece will not be allowed to take with you on trips to museums, historical and architectural sights of the big bags, backpacks, strollers and other bulky items — all this will have to Deposit before visiting the tourist sites. For the travelers it will be possible to only have one small bag or small backpack.

With regard to the increase in the cost of entrance tickets to the museums of Greece, according to the Archaeological Council of the country information, significant rise in prices will affect almost all tourist attractions. For example, the price of admission to the Temple of Poseidon will rise from €4 to €8, to the Acropolis in Athens — €12 to €20,Roman Agora — with €2 to €8, Palace of Knossos — €6 to €15, in the sanctuary of Delos — from €5 to €12.

Will also be reduced by the amount of benefits and special programs that provide free admission. The declared rates will apply during the high season, whereas during the period from November to March, visitors to the sights of Greece can enjoy a 50% discount.
