What can you see in the Kazakhstan tourist? Each of us can name a considerable number of really interesting attractions, known all over the world — Baikonur, Katon-Karagay, Shymbulak… the List goes on, but we decided today to tell about the other attractions this wonderful country — these miracles, which are worth a visit while traveling in Kazakhstan. They are not known abroad, but tourists will find plenty of new and pleasant impressions of acquaintance with them.

Lake Kaindy

Located in Almaty region, Kaindy Lake appeared recently — it was formed as a result of earthquake in 1911. Then at the mouth of the river and collapsed part of the rocks of the gorge, which led to the formation of the new lake. Unfortunately, while a considerable number of relict Tien-Shan spruces was under water, which led to their death — until now you can see rising above the water, the dead tree trunks. Although everything has pros — the lake is very popular among divers, even despite the fact that water temperatures never exceed 6°C.

The mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi

Built in the XIV century the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassaui is widely known among Kazakh Muslims — this is a very popular place of pilgrimage. The complex was built in honor of the Turkic poet and preacher of Khoja Ahmed Yassaui, and the decision on its construction was taken by Tamerlane, the founder of the Timurid Empire. Today, the mausoleum is part of the Museum-reserve complex “Hazret-Sultan», which also includes the mausoleums of many famous in ancient times rulers and generals, temples, palaces, ancient baths. It should be noted that a unique brick dome of the mausoleum of Hodzha Ahmet Yassaui — one of the largest in the Central Asia.

Bectauata

The tract bectauata, located 70 kilometers from the town of Balkhash, is known for its unique flora, unusual mountainous terrain and picturesque small lakes. The name of the mountain translates as  “mountain of the Holy elder Beck” — according to legend, in ancient times, he lived on the top of this mountain.

Mosque Beket-ATA

Unique mosque Beket-ATA, built in the XVII century, located in the Mangystau region. Its name it received in honour of a famous healer of ancient times. The mosque today is very popular among pilgrims not only from Kazakhstan but also from other countries. The main feature of the religious complex is its location — in order to get inside the mosque, pilgrims need to go underground nearly 1,500 metres.

The Bayterek monument

The Bayterek monument in Astana symbolizes the beginning of a new era of Kazakhstan — its height is 97 meters exactly, and in 1997 became Astana instead of Almaty, the new capital of the country. On top of the monument is the imprint of the hand of Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan. The attraction is surrounded by a beautiful green Park.
