Czech Republic, hodonín: the exhibition of bladed weapons
Knife exhibition opened the Museum of Masaryk (Hodonin, Czech Republic).
On it, visitors will be able to see about 60 pieces of rare specimens of historical bladed weapons, some of which dates back thousands of years.
Of the exhibits the exhibits, as the organizers of the Museum exposition will appreciate not only history buffs, but fans of real bladed weapons. During the exhibition of knives, visitors to the Museum of Masaryk will be able to see ancient swords of European warriors ancient Japanese samurai swords, swords from China, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal and the Congo, and also swords of the Musketeers.
In addition to large blades here will be on display as daggers and Renaissance times, several knives of the Ottomans and the old Czech hunting knives, one of which has reached our days from the times of the Hussite wars. Also visitors of the exhibition in the Museum of Masaryk will be able to see preserved in perfect condition armor Japanese samurai of the 18th century.
Real gems of the collection — a unique romance the sword of the 11th century, the ancient axe of the Neolithic period, whose age is about 4000 years, and a lightweight blade with a blade length of 129 cm
A large part of the presented exhibits are in private collections — the owners have provided them to participate in the exhibition. The exhibition will be open until may 10, 2015.
