Free Wi-Fi in the restaurants of Barcelona

In Barcelona according to statistics, more than 80% of people always use at least one smartphone or a similar gadget, and about 17% regularly use open networks wireless Internet — this is one of the highest rates in Europe.

It is because of this technical advancement of the citizens, the local administration is constantly expanding the network of hotspots of Barcelona. Now the municipal government actively increasing the number of access points to free wireless Internet in the restaurant on the program GuaiFi.

Currently to the network hot spots GuaiFi connected about 150 restaurants in Barcelona, and in 2015-2016 this programme will cover more than 12,000 cafes, bistros, bars and restaurants of the Catalan capital.

According to the organizers, and Internet access for visitors will be free. To connect to the Internet the user will need to login once to the network GuaiFi, then the gadget will automatically connect to available access points.
