Chrysanthemum in the Crimea
One of the most popular attractions of the Crimean Peninsula, the Nikitsky Botanical garden, will conduct a traditional chrysanthemum 29 October 2016 — on the last Saturday of the month.
Chrysanthemum has been held in Crimea since 1953 every autumn. With 2016 on the festival of flowers visitors will be presented 240 varieties of chrysanthemums of various sizes, colors and shapes of blooms, including 26 brand new breeding species bred recently. In addition, as noted by the leadership of the Nikitsky Botanical gardens, 20 new varieties of chrysanthemums do not even have their own names, so visitors will be able to contribute and offer interesting names for the new colors.
Chrysanthemum is one of the most colorful and large-scale flower exhibitions in Russia. To see this flower festival, which is held under the open sky, until the end of November, and if the warm weather holds a little longer, and until the beginning of December.
