Transcarpathian Beaujolais: a festival of wine and honey

From 15 to 17 November 2013 in Uzhgorod will be held the festival of wine and honey "Transcarpathian Beaujolais".

This holiday is also known as "Born in the Carpathians", and the timing of it coincides with which of the XIX century, the festival of new wine "Beaujolais" in France.

Due to the short timing of the cooking wine has a unique taste and lightness, which is so appreciated by true connoisseurs.

Guests of Uzhgorod will be able to taste the young Transcarpathian wine harvest in 2013, created by the best winemakers of the region. All guests can also purchase drinks at reasonable prices, to see performances of folklore collectives of Transcarpathian and take part in the entertainment programme of the holiday. At the festival "Transcarpathian Beaujolais" in addition to a wide selection of wines will also be presented different varieties of honey, bee products and Souvenirs.

Initially, the tradition of celebrating Beaujolais appeared in the XIX century in France, the winegrowers of the Beaujolais region. Their wine is matured early because the grapes here started earlier than in other regions, and wine fermentation took place during its transportation, and not in the basement. Thanks to the shortest possible period of maturation, this wine retains the ease and flavor-different each harvest.
