The first cruise ship in Russia

Shipyard «Lotus» in Astrakhan include the construction of a cruise ship five-star hotel — the first in Russia for more than half a century. Last passenger ships of this type were built in 1950-ies.

The Russian cruise ship, class «sea-river», which is planning to build two and a half years, will have a capacity of 310 passengers. The total length of the ship will be about 141, and the width-16.5 meters, with the height of 5.5 meters. As reported in the shipyards, the service life of these ships is about 25-30 years when used in the internal waterways of Russia and international flights at the wave height up to 3.5 meters.

It is expected that the cruise ship will ply on the routes between Moscow, Astrakhan, Rostov-on-don and St. Petersburg, and the Onega and Ladoga lakes. On Board the scheduled areas and facilities, Spa, gym, multiple terraces and balconies, restaurants, observation decks, split level decks with a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and a grill bar. In addition, in case of bad weather provided a sliding awning that will cover a portion of the deck of a cruise ship.

Passengers will be prepared, comfortable cabins with a total area of 15 meters each, as well as «Suite» — from 20 to 43 square meters each.

As consider in administration of the Astrakhan region, the laying of the new cruise ship will be the first step towards the restoration of passenger cruise fleet of the Russian Federation. The customer of the construction was the company «the Moscow river shipping company» of the work is carried out jointly by plant «Krasnoye Sormovo» shipyard «Lotus».
