VAT refund for hotel accommodation in South Korea

Holiday in South Korea is becoming more profitable — foreign tourists will return part of the money spent on travel.

According to the Ministry of Tourism of South Korea, in 2018, the country will act as an official promotion for foreign guests. Travelers who live in South Korean hotels will be able to get back 10% of the cost of accommodation in the hotel. You can get a refund of the value-added tax for accommodation in a Korean hotel in the hotels of Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-Namdo, Cholla-Namdo, Gyeongsangnam-do. The National Tourism Organization reserves the right to adjust the list of hotels that provide travelers with a VAT refund.
