The festival of lights on New year

In the period from 4 to 8 January 2015 in Helsinki will host the Festival of light 2015 – Lux Helsinki.

The event will be the seventh in the history of the capital of Finland.

The most unusual light and sound installations will be placed in 13 locations around the city, in the Central part of the capital. In 2015, features 17 light-sound compositions from young artists and designers from Japan, France, Finland, Belgium and Germany. Part of the works of light art will be fully Autonomous, and some will be able to take part viewers.

For example, in the composition of the Water Light Graffiti the possibility of painting the luminous water, painted with a wet brush symbols will light up on a giant screen, and the installation of Time Lapse Plant will transform the shadows of the audience, creating one real interactive show.

Volumetric light installations in Helsinki will be located under the open sky in blocks Torikorttelit, the facade of the Porthania University will be televised animated virtual Videologia, turning it into a huge moving mechanism, and in the courtyard of the Central campus of the University of Helsinki will feature songs from hundreds of lanterns. The light installation will transform the building of the Cathedral and Home addresses.
