Chile: the largest pool in the world


Planning a holiday in Chile? Be sure to fill in your tour Algaroba, because here is the famous hotel complex of San Alfonso del Mar, the main attraction of which – a giant swimming pool.

Reservoirs in the San Alfonso del Mar is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the deepest pool in the world, because in some sections its maximum depth reaches almost 40 meters.

Huge pool in San Alfonso del Mar occupies an area of 8 hectares, and its length  is 1 kilometer, that is, in size it is equal to the total area of 20 Olympic swimming pools or 6 pools Ortlieb in Casablanca, Morocco.  Its volume is 250 million liters. The average water temperature in the pool is around 26C.

Using a computerized feed system and filtering the world's largest pool filled with ocean water, it is so transparent that the bottom can be seen just fine even in the deepest points. For everyone here also can arrange boat trips across the pool.
