The days off on Kurban AIT 2016

Kurban ayt, one of the main festivals of the Muslim world, in 2016, falls on September 12, the Monday, so the citizens of Kazakhstan will have a rest three days in a row — from 10 to 12 September.

According to the Labor code of Kazakhstan the first day of Kurban ayt is a public holiday, and if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Kazakhs extra output on the first working day. Because in 2016 Kurban AIT starts at week-day, Monday, the country will have three days off in a row.

As commented Serikbai kazhy oraz, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, the celebration of Kurban ayt lasts for three days — from 12 to 14 September. The most important festive prayer will begin at 7:30 on September 12.
