A new archaeological Park in Bulgaria

7 April 2016 in Sandanski, Bulgaria, has opened a new archaeological Park. The project, dubbed «Sandanski — the rise of early Christianity», promises to become an interesting tourist attraction of this resort city and attract travelers from around the world.

Archaeological Park of Sandanski, in fact, is a great historical Museum under the open sky, bringing together the main architectural heritage of the municipality — the Basilica of Bishop Yoan, an early Christian complex and Bishop's Basilica. Tours is already underway.

In the future, as the organizers, the Park will create a tourist centre and Parking area.

Municipal authorities continue work on a highways project «Struma» — it is expected that the new highway will be completed in a few years, which will significantly cut the road from Sofia to Bansko (journey time will be longer than one hour).
