The Bregenz Spring festival in Austria
Gracia, plastic and endlessly fascinating movement – at the dance festival Bregenz Spring, which begins March 21, 2014 in the Austrian town of Bregenz, there is no place to despondency and boredom.
Bregenz Spring can be called a new look at modern ballet. This international dance festival is deservedly one of the most colorful themed events in the world, each time attracting many participants and spectators from all countries.
In 2014, a wide audience will be presented with seven shows from the world-renowned dance companies and choreographers working in the style of dance-modern.
Among the most popular dancers who will take part in this event will Vim Vandekeybus and Akram Khan – recognized stage and film choreographers. From Akram Khan, who is known as the dancing guru, is represented by a single solo performance that combines space and Indian folk, waltz and Samba.
Belgian Duo WIM of Vandekeybus and Peter Vermeersch, choreographers new wave, will perform with his avant-garde project What the Body Does Not Remember.
The ballet troupe Nederlands Dans Theater will show during the festival a series of short ballets, and the Israeli ensemble, Hofesh Shechter will present one of his latest work – dance performance of Political Mother.
Dancers, accompanied by stage effects and fancy visuals, will be the quintessence of modern dance.
