To Montenegro by train
Russian Railways is launching a new direct train from Russia to Montenegro, the flight Moscow — Bar — Moscow will be done jointly with the Montenegrin railway company on a permanent basis.
The train route between Montenegro and the Russian Federation will pass through the territory of Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia, so passengers going to relax to the Adriatic sea, will have to open a transit Schengen visa, despite the fact that Montenegro-a visa-free country for citizens of the Russian Federation.
Schedule of trains Moscow — Bar — Moscow provides for the flights on Mondays and Wednesdays departing from Belorussky train station. The train will run compartment cars (you can buy tickets from 17.5 thousand rubles) and SV (from 26,5 thousand rubles).
The total duration is of the order of 54.5 hours.
For reference: Bar — the largest seaport of Montenegro and a popular resort located on the Adriatic coast. The city, founded in the 11th century, for a long time was under the rule of the Ottoman Empire that left its mark on the culture, architecture and traditions of the city. Many interesting attractions, beautiful nature and lovely sea views makes the Bar popular amongst travelers both from Montenegro and from other countries.
