Buses to Boryspil from Kiev

Ukrzaliznytsia announced the introduction of rail buses on the route between Kiev and Boryspil. It is expected that the train voyage will begin to be carried out by the end of 2018, and the Polish route trains — the PESA 620M model — will have to serve the new direction in the number of 11 units, each of which can transport up to 90 passengers at a time, and two PESA 630M units intended for transportation 192 passengers each.

The project announced by Ukrzaliznytsya envisages the expansion of the existing railway infrastructure with an overpass, a four-kilometer gauge and a passenger platform that will be located near the airport terminal. The construction start date is June 1 of the current year, the end is planned for December 2018.

After the launch of the new line, passengers will be able to comfortably reach from the central railway station of the capital to the international airport Borispol with stops at the stations of Darnitsa and Vydubychi. The duration of the trip to one side will be about 35 minutes. Preliminary sounded ticket price — from 80 to 120 hryvnia.

As predicted in the railway company, the cost of the project will be about 800 million hryvnia, and fully it will pay off in about 10.5 years of operation.
