Ukrzaliznytsya plans to cancel trains in the Donbass

Ukrzaliznytsia reports about the possible termination of railway communication with the Lugansk and Donetsk regions in the territories controlled by the rebels.

The cancellation of trains in the Donbass will be supported by the law of Ukraine: on 14 November 2014 by the decree of the President confirmed the decision to abolish the special status of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Such a decision is forced, as representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia, but continue to put train passengers and railway workers of the danger, sending flight under fire, it is impossible. Also on the territories under the control of insurgents, there had been many situations with not saving the cargo. As an example, uz cites the recent situation with freight trains transported grain company “NIBULON” — it was seized and nationalized by the representatives of the "LC".

As a result of the claim robbed the company exposes it to the Ukrainian Railways, which is legally responsible for the safety of the transported goods.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, temporary cessation of railway traffic on the territories controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, will be made immediately after the approval of this proposal by the Ministry of Infrastructure. Specified in the application deadlines: 1 December 2014.

Passenger trains in Lugansk and Donetsk region will then continue to move to Mariupol, Konstantinovka, red army and the Red estuary, that is, to those cities which remain under the control and protection of the Ukrainian military.

Also will be changed routes of rail freight-the trains will be put into bypass in the occupied territories.
