Olympic RZD tariffs

Russian Railways expect a serious increase of tariffs during the period of preparation and holding of the Olympic games. Prices will be raised by at least a portion of the trains Sochi directions.

Thus, prices for pre-purchased tickets for the period from 1 January to 16 April will rise by more than 50%.

To save a little passengers, Railways will be able only in case if they buy tickets in the last 10 days before the departure date, when the provisional discount is no longer valid. During this period, the existing standard seasonal rates are always higher than the prices set in low season, and established at the time of the Olympic games the prices for railway tickets will cost a little cheaper. This Olympic policy will impact primarily on those passengers who are not even going to the Olympic games, and will just go in these directions.
