The new train from Almaty to Kapchagay reservoir

The new train from Almaty to Kapshagay, located on the coast of Kapchagay reservoir, has already started running. Now citizens and guests of the southern capital of Kazakhstan will be able to quickly and easily get to the beaches in the country.

As reported in the mayor's office of Almaty, the train will go to the end of the summer, and in the case that the demand for passenger transport on this route will continue, it will run on a continuous basis all year round. Official timetables provides flights twice a day, morning and evening, in both directions: from the station Almaty-1 train will go to 8:44 and 20:17 and from Kapshagai at 06:36 and 17:55. The total travel time is about one and a half hours one way.

The train route includes stops at stations Kairat, ili, Medeu, Zhetygen and Jeti-su. The price of your train ticket Almaty-Kapshagay-Almaty is 600 tenge in the same direction.
