Tickets for suburban trains will rise in price

Ukrzaliznytsia announces that starting April 28, 2015 for the suburban trains of the southern railway operate the new tariffs for travel documents.

The rise in price of tickets for suburban trains will be on average about 30%. As explained in the Ukrainian railway, the tariffs for passenger transportation, these have not been adjusted for more than four years, and as a result today they do not meet the cost of ensuring the company's smooth operation, maintenance of trains and maintenance of the necessary infrastructure.

In Ukrzaliznytsya emphasize that the increase in the cost of passenger tickets by 30%, which is scheduled for April of this year, will not cover all of the costs of passenger transport.

The last time tariffs for journey in suburban trains of the southern railway was revised in 2011, and since then the cost of combustive-lubricating materials, elements, track structure and repair work for rolling stock have increased significantly.
