Criminal liability for Samsung in the plane

From October 15, 2016 in the US entered into force a decision on the complete prohibition of carriage in the aircraft of smartphones Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

Now, in addition to fines, the passengers can receive a criminal sentence for a violation of this resolution — this initiative was introduced by the Federal aviation administration of the USA together with the United States Department of transportation and the Administration for pipeline safety and hazardous materials. The decision was made in connection with high explosive installed in this model batteries.

In particular, passengers are not permitted to carry a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 as checked baggage or air cargo, hand Luggage or on your person as on domestic flights, and airlines providing international flights to or from cities in the United States.

In accordance with current regulations, the employees of the airlines have the right to refuse boarding to passengers with a gadget. If the threat model of the smartphone will be discovered already during the flight, the violator will be instructed on the rules of safe transportation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in the plane, having to turn it off during the flight and the prohibition on connecting the charger while staying in the plane, and on the consequences of violation of this prohibition.
