From Kharkov to Vienna by local airline — Wizz Air launches new flight

The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air is expanding its route network with a new Ukrainian flight — from November 25, the air carriers will fly between Kharkov and Vienna.

It is expected that flights from Kharkov to Vienna will be carried out in autumn and winter 2018 twice a week — every Wednesday and Sunday, but from March 26, 2019 the schedule will be re-formed. Next spring, the frequency of Wizz Air flights between Kharkov and Vienna will be three flights a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The lowest price for Kharkov — Vienna airplane tickets is stated in the amount of 1009 UAH for one way flight (about €30).

This flight will become the third direct route of the airline, operated from Kharkiv International Airport after the routes Kharkiv — Dortmund (open from April 5, frequency of flights 2 times a week, tickets from €25) and Kharkov — Katowice (starting flights from June 20, frequency 2 also flights per week, tickets from €17).

As reported in the administration of the airport of Kharkov, in addition to the opening of new flight directions of Wizz Air, this year Kharkiv citizens will be able to take advantage of flights of the new air carrier SkyUp, which from June 2018 plans to launch five new destinations — Burgas, Tivat, Rimini, Barcelona and Larnaca will be connected to Kharkov direct flights. In addition, flights to Tbilisi (Georgian Airlines flights) and to Bergamo (UIA flights) will start from April. Both planes will fly from Kharkov to Georgia and Italy two times a week.

Also, the appearance of other regular flights is quite expected — at the moment negotiations are underway to resume the flight program from Kharkov to Dubai.
