Sheremetyevo-1 will be dismantled

Moscow Sheremetyevo airport announced the impending demolition of the terminal, known as Sheremetyevo 1.

Demolition work in the old terminal, built in the 164 year will begin on 1 March 2015.

As the press center of the airport before 2017 at the site of the dismantled terminal will be built a modern passenger terminal that meets all the requirements of comfort and safety of passengers. It is expected that the capacity of the new terminal will be about 15 million passengers annually.

Until March of the following year the old terminal B will reopen for the reception of flight a Budget airline - the new lowcost Russian Aeroflot.
