Reconstruction of the Kaliningrad airport

In Khrabrovo International airport in Kaliningrad, work began on the reconstruction of taxiways and lengthening of the runway. It is expected that with modernization, the airport can accommodate larger aircraft than it is now.

In connection with the reconstruction of the modified work schedule of the airport — now from 22:00 to 8:00 p.m. it will be closed for maintenance flights.

Thus, the significant changes will affect the winter season — will run some flights from St. Petersburg and Moscow, in particular, the passengers will not be able to get to Kaliningrad by night, late in the evening or in the morning. Also during maintenance works on the runway the aircraft Kaliningrad-Moscow will land in the capital city no earlier than noon.

In addition, according to the official airport information, daily repair work will be performed in summer season 2016.
