Premium Economy on Austrian Airlines flights

Premium

Austrian Airlines informs about an interesting innovation on its flights — from 2018 on, the company will receive a premium economy class. A new class in the plane will be available on long-haul flights of Austrian Airlines, becoming the price and the level of service between the economy and the business class.

Passenger seats in the premium economy class will become wider, they will be equipped with comfortable armrests and increased legroom, and the layout will change from traditional 3 + 4 + 3 to 2 + 4 + 2 for Boeing 777 and 2 + 3 +2 for 2 + 2 + 2 for Boeing 767. On board meals in this class will be served on the menu on porcelain dishes, and the free baggage allowance will be increased to two units (with the weight of each bag not more than 23 kilograms). Each passenger traveling in a premium economy class will also be able to independently choose the desired location for a plane in advance without paying extra for this service.

Also in each seat will be an individual entertainment system with a 12-inch screen, a power outlet and a USB port.

In total, in the coming months, it is planned to reequip 11 Austrian Airlines aircraft serving long-haul flights, the remaining airliners will receive new salons by the spring of 2018.
