The rules of transit through Belarus

Dear passengers, we remind you about the rules of crossing the border of the Republic of Belarus for transit to the Russian Federation in connection with the become frequent cases of refusal of entry into the country for citizens of Ukraine.

To stay in Belarus not more than 90 days in six months (180 days), the transit via Belarus from Ukraine to Russia is equal to the entry on the territory of the country. Since Belarus and Russia are allied countries, when crossing borders of one of them for further transit to other citizens of Ukraine stay there from the day of border crossing transit countries. That is allowed 90 days starts counting from the moment of crossing of border between Ukraine and Belarus, and the countdown stops only after the return flight from Russia.

For example, if the passenger is flying a transit flight to Moscow via Minsk, and in ten days returned the same way back, it will have spent ten days of the permitted period of stay on the territory of Belarus. If a Ukrainian citizen departs from Russia later than 90 days from the date of entry into the country, for exceeding the permitted period of stay in the country border service put it in the register of citizens who are banned entry to the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

If you are included in the list of citizens who are not allowed entry, you must contact the Department of immigration and citizenship to specify which documents must be submitted to the Ministry of internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus for confirmation of transit through the territory of Belarus, for example, to work in the Russian Federation (certificates of employment, work permit, etc.).
