New rules for carrying hand luggage Ryanair
Irish Loukost-Airlines Ryanair informs about changes in the rules of carrying hand luggage, which will affect all flights of the air carrier.
Now, for Ryanair passengers, there is a rule allowing two bags to be carried on board the aircraft as hand luggage with dimensions of 35x20x20cm and 55x40x20cm without additional payment, and lately there are situations where large bags create inconveniences for other passengers and crew members. In addition, they often cause a delay in landing, since the owners of such baggage have to spend a lot of time to attach their belongings to the luggage shelves in the cabin, and on loaded flights part of the bags goes to the luggage compartment for free.
In order not to restrict its passengers in the transportation of free hand luggage on board the aircraft, but to prevent the recurrence of such situations in the future, from November 1, 2017, Ryanair introduces new rules. So, now passengers can still take two bags with them as hand luggage on board the aircraft for free, but before landing one of the bags will need to be handed over to airline employees who transport it to the cargo bay. After arrival, the second piece of baggage will be given to the owner in the standard order.
In addition, from November 1, the cost of carrying luggage is reduced (the cost of the service will now be € 25 instead of € 35), and the authorized weight of the suitcase will be increased from 15 to 20 kilograms.
