A new subway line in Barcelona for passengers

In the coming months in Barcelona, Spain, is scheduled to launch a new metro line, which will allow passengers to reach the airport El Prat faster and more convenient. Municipal authorities promise that the new section of metro line L9 will be operational in February or March of 2016.

A new subway line in Barcelona will allow passengers to get to terminals T1 and T2 on a single ticket, which would cost €4,5 (2,15€ — payment of the standard metro ticket plus 2,35€ — additional fee for the trip directly to the airport), and holders of cards T-4, T-Mes, -50/30, T-second quarter, T-Jove and Targeta Rosa will not pay for travel to the airport.

According to the municipal transport company ATM, responsible for the launch of a new metro line, the length of the line segment L9 will be about 20 kilometers.

Also in 2018, Barcelona will launch a new Express train for passengers, which will run from Sants station directly to the terminal T1, the flight frequency will be 17 minutes from the station of Passeig de Gràcia train will run once in 23 minutes. It is reported that the cost of the trip on the Express train is 6€. The new route also involves a stop at the station Sagrera.
