Mobile boarding passes at Zhulyany airport

Zhuliany International Airport in Kiev launched a new service — now passengers are able to present their boarding pass in electronic form when passing control in front of the departure zone. Earlier, mobile boarding passes became available at the airports of Lviv, Kharkov and Kiev Borispol.

A new way of passing control is available from November 7, 2018 for passengers of both domestic and international economy and business class flights. The innovation allows to pass control without visiting the registration desk if the passenger flies without luggage, only with hand luggage, and has an electronic version of the boarding pass on his gadget. In the zone of control of aviation security, special scanners have been installed to read data from electronic boarding passes from screens of mobile devices.

New opportunities for mobile boarding passes, unfortunately, are not available on Wizz Air flights — passengers who are citizens of Ukraine and other countries not in the Schengen zone will have to pass a visa check at the check-in desk as before.
