Internet and entertainment in airplanes from UIA

UIA prepares for its passengers a pleasant innovation — since January 2018 on board the airline's aircraft passengers will be available to the Internet and entertainment.
First of all, the on-board Internet from UIA will appear on long-haul flights, which will be serviced by Boeing 777. In each passenger seat of the airliners of this model, an entertainment system with a terminal is installed. At the same time, both wireless Internet and entertainment systems are available to passengers both in business and in economy class.
The new Boeing 777s will replenish the UIA fleet, replacing Boeing 767 airliners (they will be decommissioned from 2019), which serve long-haul flights now. As reported in the airline, the next year, UIA plans to expand the flight program, opening flights to Toronto and Shanghai, so the update of the air fleet is really a necessary step for the carrier.
In addition, the UIA management announces the construction of a new hangar at the Boryspil International Airport — now the air carrier is experiencing difficulties in servicing its aircraft due to insufficient airspace, and after the introduction of new airliners this issue will be even more acute. The new hangar will also help speed up the maintenance processes of UIA aircraft and will make it possible to increase the frequency of many popular flights.
