Free Wi-Fi on Lufthansa
Lufthansa has organized for its passengers access to free wireless Internet.
Free Wi-Fi is already available on five flights of the airline operated European routes, and in the near future the necessary equipment will be equipped with 20 more units of A320 aircraft.
According to the airline, all flights operated on medium-haul routes, Lufthansa will be equipped with access points by mid-2018.
Free Internet on Board the aircraft will be provided until the end of testing a new service, and the commercial launch is scheduled in the first quarter of 2017.
It is expected that passengers will be available three Internet packages:
- FlyNet Message (€3): the use of e-mail, iMessage and WhatsApp
- FlyNet Surf (€7): mail, messaging, social networking and surfing the web
- FlyNet Stream (€12): all of the above plus stream
Lufthansa in addition to wireless Internet access in Bor in 2015 also provides for long haul routes with Austrian Airlines, and 31 aircraft of medium-haul fleet of the airline will be provided by access points by the end of April 2017.
