Airline Estonian Air has landed

From 8 November 2015, the airline Estonian Air has now ceased to run passenger services.

Cause “landing” air carrier financial difficulties — a few years ago Estonian air has received funds from the state budget in the amount of €85 million, but then the European Commission has recognized this payment of state aid in violation of legitimate competition, and demanded a refund of the money in full plus interest. For Estonian Air is the resolution actually turned out to be equivalent to bankruptcy, and the result was the termination of activity of the air carrier.

According to the official information of airline passengers who had to fly in the period from 8 to 10 January 2015 will be transferred to flights of other carriers, and those with departures scheduled for 11 November and later dates, will receive a full refund.

Carriage of passengers Estonian Air aircraft of other airlines after November 11 will be implemented only if the return flight, and flights «there» carried out before the 10th of the current month.
