Airport Ben-Gurion will expand

The main airport of Israel, Ben Gurion, will be expanded — the decision to update was made to the airports authority of Israel due to high load on aviakhab.

According to the Ministry of tourism of Israel, in the construction of this airport was the possibility of its extension — the complex was designed on the modular principle, which allows to upgrade the existing awagaman as needed to increase its bandwidth.

The project of reconstruction of the airport Ben-Gurion foresees the extension and upgrading of runways, the equipment of additional Parking apron, improvement of filling systems, updating power grids, airport, and air-conditioning systems. Also, the project announced the addition of a fourth wing to the international terminal No. 3, creation of new recreational areas, retail outlets, cafes and restaurants, the equipment of the waiting room wing E eight air bridges for embarking and disembarking passengers. The total area of the upgraded waiting room will be about 17,000 square meters.

Work on the expansion of the international airport Ben-Gurion will be completed by 2018.
