In Kherson operates a large railway station and four railway stations in the city, through which there are about 25 regular long-distance trains, about 20 electric trains and commuter trains. Daily trains run through Kherson railway stations to Nikolaev, Vysokopole, Kiev, Lviv, Simferopol and Kharkov. Direct train from Kherson to Moscow (№61 / 957), which was previously daily, is now transferred to a special schedule and performs flights 3-4 times a week.

Suburban trains from Kherson carry out regular transportation to Nikolaev, Kakhovka, Novoveselyu, Antonovka, Chernobaevka and some other settlements (only about 80 stations, which are operated by direct suburban flights from Kherson).

The summer train schedule from Kherson is usually supplemented by additional flights. One of these seasonal trends is Moscow: additional trains from Kherson to Moscow Ukrzaliznytsya usually appoints in summer and autumn. Kherson station also runs routes to the Crimea.

Buy train tickets in Kherson can be at the railway station, through the Service Center and the Internet, it is possible to book train tickets by courier delivery (only around the city). Ordering and buying railway tickets online is possible from any city in Ukraine without a territorial link to Kherson — a passenger needs only to visit a specialized site, choose a convenient railway route and place an order. You can pay for tickets ordered through the site using a bank card or an Internet payment service.

The price of tickets from Kherson is different for each train, as many factors influence its formation: the length of the journey, the type of train and the class of the car, the date of issuing the ticket and, actually, the trip itself. In addition, the cost of the ticket can also be affected by the way it is bought, for example, when you buy a ticket at once, you pay only for its cost without additional fees, but if you reserve seats on a train with a deferred purchase, the trip cost is usually increased by 10-20 Hryvnia.
